Frank D. Davis

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at 2pm at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Lumpkin Road Chapel with Pastor Bobby Renew officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Roy “Peanut” Taylor, Charles “Don” Joslyn, Timothy “Tim” Curl, Edward “Eddie” Simmons, Danny Coleman, and Rhodell Clark.

A lifelong resident of Augusta, GA, he was the son of the late Henry Davis and Mary McClain. He worked with Southern Roofing as a roofer. Frank enjoyed fishing and collecting other people’s unwanted items. He was a member of Solomon Porch.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death a sister, Eunice Scott, and brother, W. L. Davis. He is survived by his wife, Mary Byrne Davis, children, Shannon Kim, Grovetown, GA; Daniel Robinson, Evans, GA; Shane Watson. Augusta, GA; brothers, Buddy Davis, Calvin Davis, Johnny Davis, Wayne Davis, sisters, Geraldine Malin, Sarah Poole, Mary Ann Kimbrell, grandchildren, Brianna Kim, and Elijah White.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, June 25, 2012 from 7pm - 9pm and on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 from 1pm until the hour of service.
