Effie Mae Miles

Mrs. Miles was born in Augusta, GA to the late Johnnie and Maudell Raborn. She was a 1959 Hephzibah High School graduate. In high school, she was the 1959 Homecoming Queen and the 1958 Miss Hephzibah High. While attending school, she was passionate about playing sports, especially basketball and she was a Majorette. After high school, Mrs. Miles graduated from Business College in Augusta, GA. Mrs. Miles retired after 31 years as a Civil Service Employee. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother to the members of her family.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Miles is preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Kenneth Bernard Miles Sr.; brother, Noonie Raborn; niece, Tammy Johnson. Mrs. Miles is survived by her children, Sandra Daly (Chuck), Kenneth Miles Jr. and Bernard Francis Miles II; sisters, Rachel Hendrix (Charles) and Brenda Faglier (Richard); sister-in-law, Debbie; sister-in-law, Annette Gunner (Dave); grandchildren, Taylor Daly (Ryan) and Miles Foskey (Jameson); great-grandson, Henry Chambers; and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

Graveside services will be held at 1pm on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at Raborn Cemetery in Vidette, GA. Pallbearers who will honor Mrs. Miles are Pat Faglier, Darrel Johnson, Tre Raborn, Chandler Johnson, Brian Nunally and Len Hendrix. Honorary pallbearers will be Richie Faglier and Bryon Raborn.
