David Duffy

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 3pm in the Lumpkin Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Wilson and Rev. Randy Dunnaway officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

A lifelong resident of Augusta, he was the son of the late R.C. Duffy, Sr. and Mary Stevens Duffy. He was a retired mechanic from Southern Beverage. David was a member of Central Baptist Church. He loved to go fishing and dancing on Saturday at The Jamboree. He enjoyed watching the Braves play. David never met a stranger.

He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Fletcher Duffy, children, Debra (Calvin) Fort, Warrenton, GA; Mike David Duffy, Washington, GA; Wanda (Gene) Duffie, Martinez, GA; Deborah (Chuck) Norton, Augusta, GA; brother, R.C. Duffy, Jr., sister, Ruth Williams, 3 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 1, 2012 from 2pm until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Toys for Tots.
