Ms. Edison was a Mighty woman of God and was an active member of Augusta’s Cornerstone Assembly. She attended the First Assembly of God for 20 years. Ms. Edison worked at Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center downtown for 28 years. She enjoyed helping people and was a hard worker. Ms. Edison graduated in the first graduating class of Glen Hills High School, class of 1970. She went on to get her degree from Augusta Technical College as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
Ms. Edison is preceded in death by her parents, Louis White Jr. and Ethel J. Hale. Survivors include her children, Hunter R. Edison III (Melissa) and Kristie E. Garvey (Andy); grandchildren, Brittany Bowen, Jordan Mays, Hunter Edison IV, Hannah Mays, Sarah Mays, and Cole Edison; siblings, Barry Dean White, Diane W. Hawkins (Ken) of Knoxville, TN, Rusty Smith who is preceded in death and Mike White (Linda) and Barry Ray White of Dayton, OH; and several nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
The family will receive friends from 6-9pm, Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Elliott Sons Funeral Home on Lumpkin Road. Funeral services will be held at 1pm, Friday, October 27, 2017 at the Lumpkin Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home with Pastor Fred Burman officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pall bearers who will honor Ms. Edison are Ken Hawkins, Jordan Mays, TJ Martin, Ronald Pickens, Zach Michael and Rex Michael.
