SSGT Bobby Kitchens served in the United States Air Force as a crew chief. He later worked for Olin Chemical where he later retired as an operator. He also worked for Richmond County Mosquito control and Doctors Hospital. Mr. Kitchens was the hardest working man, and there was nothing he could not fix, even a broken heart. He would help fix anything for anyone. He cherished the moments with his wife, children and grandchildren. He owned land where he had his 26 horses, a donkey and a mule. Mr. Kitchens also loved fast cars, especially his corvette, Judy.
Mr. Kitchens is preceded in death by his son Dwain Scott Kitchens. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Judith Evelyn Peace Kitchens; Children, Lynn English (Anthony), Robert Destry Kitchens, Juliet Adams (Shawn) and Joshua Kitchens; grandchildren, Stefanie Singletary (Jason), Dayna Sanders, Dustin Adams (Brittany), Shawn Adams, Hannah Adams, Kaylee Adams and Raegan Kitchens; and great-grandchildren, Leland McCook, Sadie Mae Singletary, Kamden Sanders and Harlen Sanders.
Pallbearers who will honor Mr. Kitchens will be Jason Singletary, Seith Adams, Shane Peace, Silas Peace, Dustin Adams, Leland McCook,Kamden Sanders, Robby Silas and Ronnie Trap.
The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on September 6, 2022 at Elliott Sons Funeral Home on Lumpkin Road. A Graveside services will be held at 11am at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
