Barry "Anthony" Smith Jr.

Anthony was born in Augusta, GA to Susan and Barry Smith Sr. He attended Richmond Academy and worked in Construction at D and D Associates. He was a Godly man who adored his family. He had a great sense of humor with a laugh that could light up the room. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and grew up with his family going camping at the lake. He was a great friend to many and was always willing to help anyone he could. He will be missed by all who loved him.

Anthony is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Carolyn Hodges and Donald M. Smith; and cousin, Charles Quinten Weeks. Survivors include his parents, Susan and Barry Smith Sr.; sister, Shannon Rickerson (Brian); maternal grandparents, Roy and Sarah Poole; niece, Chloe Nicholas; nephew, Austyn Hutto; and many uncles, aunts, cousins and other family members who loved him dearly.

The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at Elliott Sons Funeral Home on Lumpkin Road. Funeral services will be held at 1pm, Thursday, November 2, 2023 at the Lumpkin Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Black officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers who will honor Anthony are Wendell Smith Jr., Chris Smith, Billy Smith, Donny Smith, Steven Poole and Danny Webster.
