Barbara Cave Glover

She is preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Clara Cave; sons, Norman Glover and Tim Glover; brothers, Leon O’Neal Cave Sr. and Bertram Owens Cave; granddaughter, Melanie Battles; and great-grandson, Michael Kain Andrews. Survivors include her loving daughter, Patricia Glover Reese (Paul); grandson, Michael Reese; granddaughter, Barbara Lightsey (Larry); granddaughter, Becky Kent (Patrick); granddaughter, Shawna McPherson (Duane); granddaughter, Katina Hopwood (Alan); grandson, Jason Allen Glover (Kayla); grandson, Norman O’Neal Glover Jr. (Kelly); daughter, Darlene Glover; five other grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson, Rolan; and a host of extended family and very special friends.

Mother volunteered for the V.F.W. Auxiliary for 48 years. She received “Volunteer of the Year” from Channel 12 News and Channel 6 News. She had over 26,000 hours in volunteering. She also received the V.F.W. Auxiliary National Volunteer of the Year. She was a wonderful Mother. She loved her children and grandchildren unconditionally. She truly will be missed.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, December 5, 2019, at the Lumpkin Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 2524 Lumpkin Road, Augusta, GA 30906. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Burial will immediately follow at Westover Memorial Park, 2601 Wheeler Road, Augusta, GA 30904.
