EVANS, Ga. - Archie Allen Morris entered into rest on Wednesday, January 16, 2013. He was a devoted member of Lumpkin Road Baptist Church, where he served as deacon. Archie was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Vietnam War. He was an employee of Proctor and Gamble, then later Augusta National Golf Course. Archie was preceded in death by his parents, William Archie and Joan Morris. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Morris; son, Gregg Allen Morris of Tallahassee, FL; brothers, Michael Morris, Victor Morris, and Byron Morris; and one granddaughter, Isabel Morris. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, January 18, 2013 at Lumpkin Road Baptist Church with Rev. Don Stone officiating. Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday, January, 17, 2013 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
