He is preceded in death by his wife, Alice, his son, Spencer and his brother, Harold. Mr. Shaw is survived by his sons, Richard (Elaine), Ronald (Patty), and Robert (Linda); sister, Nell Culligan, along with 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and one more due in November.
Retired as a corrections officer from the State of New York and Lot Supervisor for Lakeland Auto Auction. He was a life time member of VFW Post 4351, American Legion Post 70, Am Vets Post 32, Hudson Valley Volunteer Fireman Assoc. and many more too numerous to mention.
He was a Cub Scout leader who earned his Scouters Key, one of the highest awards in scouting. Also Boy Scout Master, Little League and Pony League Coach, Volunteer Fireman and EMT on an ambulance squad.

Visitation will be 5/23/11 from 11-1 at Ott-Laughlin, Auburndale with graveside service following at Glen Abbey.
