Tony was a keeper of tales and life stories. He grew up in Louisiana and lived a country life, enjoying his high school friends and basketball fame. His small high school of only 100 students even won the state championship in 1949.
His adventures in the Navy as an Armament Installer brought him to Sanford, Florida where he met the love of his life, Bea, and received a Good Conduct medal and a National Defense Ribbon as a veteran of the Korean War.
He kept the stories of family times and laughter like a snapshot, and in sharing them with others kept them alive. He had a love of the outdoors and wilderness spawn from his childhood and enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing which were all made better by sharing them with family and friends. To know Tony, you only had to sit with him awhile and listen to his stories.
Dad was DIY before there was YouTube. The phone would ring "Dad/Tony can you help me build, patch, fix, make...." He was glad and proud to be able to help anyone, anytime. He was always happiest delving into new projects and learning new things, teaching new things, and sharing.
Tony battled cancer all throughout his wife's Alzheimer's, being there for her and her family. He was a great son, brother, husband, father, and friend and will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
Tony is survived by by his children, Teresa and Stanley, grandchildren Jennifer, David, Joshua, Adriene, and Anthony, as well as great grandchildren Alice, Oliver, Emanuel (Manny), and Kylie. He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years Bea Brown Posey, and his brother Larry Posey.
