Sidney Barrett Williams

Sidney Williams was born July14, 1966 in Bartow FL. He was the son of S.B. Williams and Hattie (Williams) Thomas. He received his primary education in Polk County, FL. where he was an active athlete in both basketball and track and field. Sidney received two daughters of the American Revaluations medal’s during his high school tender in Auburndale. He was a graduate of Auburndale Senior High School in Auburndale, FL. Sidney made the honorable decision to join the United States Marine Corp. in 1984 where he was promoted to Cpl during his active service years, he would return to Polk County FL. area where he would gain a role in chemical operations with Laidlaw Corporation and Lakeland Electric.

Moving forward Sidney would later become an active member in the Veterans Affairs Administration in Winter Park, FL. While pursuing higher education Sidney would go to receive an AA degree from Valencia Community College.

Sidney was an active member in all aspects of life. He volunteered yearly for Toys for Tots as well as performing different roles within communities and churches. Sidney was very family oriented and enjoyed performing all family activities to the fullest. Through his humbleness he was able to reach many hearts as well as lending a helping hand to all that he could reach in need. He truly will be sincerely missed.

Sidney was preceded in death by his Grandparents Frank and Lizzie Sykes of Auburndale, FL. his biological father Solomon B. Williams of Haines City, FL. and Sister Sandra Thomas of Auburndale, FL.

Parents, Sammie Lee and Hattie Thomas of Auburndale; Brother Reginald Williams of Haines City; Brother Rodney Thomas of Auburndale; Sister Samantha Thomas of Pensacola FL, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, family, friends, and other relatives.
