Rose Alice Gaffney, age 92, of Auburndale, FL passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2019. She was born April 25, 1926 in Des Moines Iowa the daughter of James Ruben Martin and Gretchen Ruth Love. Mrs. Gaffney moved to the Winter Haven area in 1969 from Montgomery, NY. She worked as a Nurses Aid. She was of the Catholic faith and a member of the Easter Star.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gaffney was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Virgil V Gaffney in 2015. She is survived by her children: Vernon Jay Gaffney and wife Janice, Clyde Gaffney and wife Patti, Jessica Collins and husband James, Arlene Havlik and fiancé Howard Noble, and Kimberly Braddy and husband Terry, extended family member: Linda Grimes, 8 grandhildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Visitation is Monday, February 11, 2019 from 2-3pm with funeral services at 3 pm, both at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home, 2198 K-Ville Avenue, Auburndale, FL.
