Richard is survived by his children, Barry Kitchens, Tania Hernandez, Bonnie Cantrell, and Deborah Johns. He is also survived by his granddaughters Katherine Kitchens and Bobbi Sanderson, great-grandson Cade Kitchens, as well as 12 other grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. He was one of eight children born to Mattie and Robert Kitchens.
Richard was known for his love of the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was also an avid bowler. In his younger years, he had a passion for raising homing pigeons, dune buggy riding, and hunting for turquoise.
A loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Richard will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
