Nolan O’Hara, 91, of Bartow, Florida passed away on September 16, 2024. He was born on April 18, 1933 in Live Oak, Florida. Nolan was a veteran of the United States Navy. He enjoyed playing the harmonica, bowling, fishing, and traveling.
Nolan was predeceased by three wives to include Betty Castor and Melissa Ewing O'Hara, his parents, Herbert G. O’Hara and Mamie Mary Carrol O’Hara, brother, Rufus W. “Butch” O’Hara, sisters, Edna A. O’Hara Pope, Vera A. O’Hara Jones, Ruby L. O’Hara Goff, and Bevelyn J. O’Hara Coker, a step son David Castor, and step grandson, Jason Smith. He is survived by his children, Chloe Ann Royal (Bart), Melissa Denise Albritton (Bill), step children, Carmen Castor, Roxanne Henson (Ron), sister, Clara O’Hara Pittas, grandchildren and step grandchildren, Jeremy Smith, Lance Smith, Maria Smith, Linda Vaughn, Joshua Smith, Amanda Carter (Ron), Chris Albritton (Jill), Joshua Albritton (Brittaney), Jacob Albritton, Melissa Mead (Calep), David Keen JR. (Kayla), and Shawn Royal, 16 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, and many other loved extended family members.
A funeral service is being held at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home in Auburndale, Florida on Monday, September 23 at 11 am. Graveside services will follow at Oak Hill Burial Park in Lakeland, Florida. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
