Winter Haven- John Raymond Meroni Sr., age 79, of Winter Haven, FL passed away May 7, 2014 at his residence after a long battle with leukemia. He was born April 23, 1935 in Chicago, IL the son of John D. Meroni and Evelyn Balousek Meroni. John was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Winter Haven. He was owner of Avondale Electric.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his wife Barbara. He is survived by his children; Ann Winn, Sherrie Foster, Samuel Meroni, John Meroni, Linda Cloe and Victor Lanciloti as well as his brother, Donald Meroni, 14 grandchildren, 2 great grandchldren, and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to the visitatino on Monday, May 12, 2014, from 9-10 am at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home at Glen Abbey in Auburndale, FL, with a funeral mass to follow at 11 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Winter Haven, FL. Burial will follow in Glen Abbey Memorial Gardens, Aubundale, FL.
