Mr. John R. Campbell, 76, passed away in Lakeland on September 29, 2022. He was born on August 9, 1946 in Dewitt, Arkansas. John was a retired Marine that served in the Vietnam War after graduating from Kathleen High School in 1964. After his discharge from service in 1975, John had many jobs and travels. He lived in Georgia, Arkansas, and Texas before returning to Florida. John was an avid outdoorsman that loved fishing, hunting, and golf.
John was a husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great grandfather with a large heart and family. He is preceded by his brother and survived by his wife, sister, four children, six grandchildren, five great grandchildren and two nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home at Glen Abbey in Auburndale, Florida on Thursday, October 7, 2022, at 10:00 a.m.
