Jimmie Mae Wilkins “Sally”, 71, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2020. Born to the late James and Willie Mae Kilpatrick in Sheffield, AL on December 19, 1948. Jimmie moved to Florida in 1972 starting in Fort Meade and then later on settling into Lakeland.
Additionally to her parents, she was pre-deceased by her son, Joseph McCullough; brother, Jerry Owens and her first grandson, Logan Allgood. Jimmie is survived by her boyfriend, Henry Ford; sons, Jerry and Anthony McCullough; daughters, Anna McCray and Theresa “Teri” McCullough; favorite son-in-law, Billy McCray; sisters, Barbara Thomas and Judy Tucker and brother-in-law C.W. Tucker; 10 grandchildren and many more great-grandchildren.
Jimmie’s family was very important to her and she was a fighter for many years, deservingly called “sergeant” by her grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew her.
A visitation will be held at 11am on Thursday, March 19, 2020 with a funeral service at 12pm at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home 2198 K-Ville Ave Auburndale, FL followed by her burial at Homeland Cemetery, Homeland Cemetery Rd, Bartow, FL 33830. The family requests for everyone in attendance to wear red in memory of Jimmie.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic and current gathering regulations, a small service for immediate family only will be conducted.
