Jerry served in the United States Army for 6 years. After serving his county, he joined the Florida Division of Forestry where he retired as a supervisor. Jerry was a member of the V.F.W. and loved being outdoors.
Jerry is predeceased by his parents Eura Mae and Henry Alvin Pilcher Sr, his children Jonathan Pilcher and Elicia Rogers and his siblings Henry Pilcher Jr, William Pilcher, Elois Jones and Betty Sasnett. He is survived by his Fiance Marie Poliszczuk of Lakeland, son Jerry Guyer and wife Cyndi of Mechanicsville, MD and daughter Christianne Pilcher of Gulf Shores, Alabama along with is grandchildren Justin Pilcher (Rose), Michael Guyer, Kenneth Guyer, Ruby Ritchey (Michael), Sarena Hough (Matthew), Dayle Pilcher, Sheena Barber, April Keller and Jathon Barber. Jerry also leaved behind his 13 great-grandchildren along with a multitude of extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
A visitation for Jerry will be held Monday, August 1, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home in auburndale with a funeral service to begin at 11:00 AM. A reception will occur Monday, August 1, 2022 at 1:30 PM at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8002, 9398 US Hwy 98 N, Lakeland, Florida 33809.
