Helen M Minch

Helen Maye (Willt) Minch was born on March 29, 1928, in Garrett County, Maryland, to Charles Willt and Freda (Kelley) Willt. She passed on to her Heavenly home on January 4, 2023, while living in Lakeland, Florida.

Helen was pre-deceased by her husband of 63 years, Alfred Minch, her parents, her brothers Otis Willt, William Willt, and her sister Ruth Willt Harper.

Surviving Helen is her sister-in-law Virginia Willt, nephews Eric Willt, Michael Willt, Craig Harper, her niece Cheryl Harper Mitchell, and many dear friends.

Helen volunteered her time at the United Methodist Temple in Lakeland, Florida, and with her husband's United States Power Squadrons many activities and fund-raisers.

Known for her fresh-baked cookies, many fun times are remembered by family and friends who were always welcomed in her home.

Helen will be missed by many. Her last years were spent in memory care at Clare Bridge/Brookdale, in Lakeland, where staff took excellent care of her, with many mentioning that she was a favorite. Thanks also to Vitas Hospice care staff.

Helen will be buried beside her husband in the National Memorial Park, Falls Church, Virginia on Tuesday, January 17th at 11 a.m.
