Greg and I were more like brothers than cousins " Best Friends" would be another way to describe our relationship. We literally grew up as close as two people could get, and remained that way our entire lives!  See, we were the youngest of all the cousins. the  middle 3 and the older 3 went off and did their thing and left us 2 younger ones to create a bond that would be unbreakable.

As far back as I can remember, it was Greg and I. We just seemed to follow each others lead and ended up liking what the other liked- which set the stage for a lifetime of memories together. From playing games as kids, to working out as teens, to spending A LOT of time pursuing our hobbies together in the woods hunting, on lakes fishing, playing pool and guitar. Oh and spring break's in that old '71 VW Beetle Bug ( we went everywhere in that thing- when we were younger) 

And , even as we got older it just seemed like nothing ever really changed between us! I mean, we both got married, both got jobs, and set out for an "adult life" with our wives etc.. But, we just NEVER STOPPED making and spending time together, and making memories that can never be taken away! 

He was a big part of my 1st home and helped  with MANY projects over the years. I can look around and see his work EVERYWHERE in my house ( I've been in it for 22 years) His hands has lifted, built, fixed and blessed so many things here, and it was just a quick phone call to ask him and he would be there to help. ( actually to DO it! I was the "helper")

This inseparable relationship went on for nearly 50 years. and I never saw any signs of it ever stopping. I actually pictured us growing really old , half senile and decrepit talking about our younger years, Our "hay day's", Of our triumphs and our mistakes, while Giving God the Glory while reliving so many memories we made together. 

This has broken me to the core! But I find peace in knowing he loved the Lord, and was Saved! And, I will see him again.

Cousin, " Stevie"



    I met Greg in the 2nd grade. Although we Really didn’t become friends until we started riding the school bus together. We were about 14 years old. We basically grew up together. Greg, Kenneth, & me. We hunted, fished, went camping, and rode dirt bikes. Many times over the years it was just Greg and me. We’ve sat around many campfires talking about life, people, the Lord, and just enjoyed each other’s company. Over the years we kept in touch by calling and texting each other, since I moved out of state. We both have  kids and lives  that kept us from really seeing each other as much as we wanted. When I heard the news of his passing I was devastated, as I’m sure his family is as well. I have all these memories of him and I doing everything we did over the years, and only Greg to share them with. Greg was a Christian and I know I will see him again one day, but until that day he will be missed by many.  I loved him like a brother.

I have had the privilege of knowing Greg and being able to work with him. I first met Greg while he was building a deck on the back of my nieces house and admired the precision and detail of his work. I then was working on my own place and needed someone I could trust to do a good job. That was Greg! He came to work with me on my place, installing kitchen cabinets, doors, crown molding and also helped me with some fencing. My place was done and so happy he could do the work because he is such a perfectionist, like myself. That is why we got along so well. He was always making sure everything was perfect! The next job we did together was remodeling a home. We spent a few months together working our tails off to do this remodel. We did alot of sweating and had alot of laughs while working together. I am truly heart broken for his family because he was always talking about them and was so proud of his wife and children.  God bless you, Greg. You will be missed dearly by all that knew you and had the pleasure of being in your company. 

Christie and Family, this is send with heartfelt sorrow to hear about Greg's passing.  You have been our good neighbors for over 20 years and we will miss Greg very much. He was always there to help with moving the cattle back and forth and fence repairing when needed. Bob and him talked over the fence many times throughout the years as a good neighbor would. May God help you and bless all of you as you go through your sorrow now and in the future. Our whole family is praying for all of you to get through this.
