Dixie Ellen Brown, 67, of Winter Haven, Florida went on to be with the Lord on January 10, 2011. Dixie was born in Denver, Colorado to Bill and Mabel Messner. Dixie was married to Robert Brown. Dixie and Robert were missionaries in the U.S. Virgin Islands for five years. They then came back to the states for seven years of ministry. Then they went to Kenya, Africa for four and a half years. Next they went to Tanzania for seven years. After which they continued to make short term trips to Tanzania.
Dixie is survived by her husband, Robert Brown, parents, Bill and Mabel Messner, brother, David (Diane) Messner, and sisters, Marilyn Steele and Sally (Bill) Stewart.
Memorial services will be held at Eastside Assembly of God on January 16, 2011 at 11 a.m.
