David C. Farley

David C Farley a resident of Winter Haven, Florida passed away on February 29, 2020 at home in the presence of his loving family. David was born in Detroit Michigan to parents Lonnie & Mildred Farley. Mrs. Farley died when David was a very young child and was then raised by stepmother Bessie Farley.

David served in the United States Navy from 1963-1967 with an honorable discharge. David & his wife Mary moved to Florida in 1971 where he worked as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic in the Phosphate Industry. When not working David could be found enjoying his favorite sport of Bass fishing. He was a lifelong member of the Fin and Feather fishing club and took great pride in teaching his children and grandchildren how to fish and spent many hours with each doing so.

David is preceded in death by parents Lonnie, Mildred & Bessie Farley. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary Farley, brother Alton Farley, daughters Tina White, Kathy Tate & Beverly Farley. Grand children Jessica Cameron, Rain Cenname, David White, Summer Cox, Adam White and eight great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home in Auburndale from 10:00am to 11:00am with a service set to begin at 11:00am. A graveside service with military honors will be held at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at 2:30pm.
