Winter Haven - Alfred Walter Childress, age 80, of Winter Haven, FL died Tuesday, August 14, 2012 due to COPD. He was born April 14, 2012 in Grand Junction, CO the son of Clifford Childress and Kate (Ellis) Childress. He served in the US Navy during the Korean War.
Mr. Childress is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Rita (Philcox) Childress. Memorial services will be at a later date.
