Jimmy Victor Smith was born in Memphis, Tennessee on August 22, 1947. He is the son of Hiram Victor Smith and Nora Lee (Cummings) Smith. Jimmy unexpectedly passed on February 22, 2012 at 64 years of age. Jimmy worked as a civilian employee for the US Army Security Affairs. He traveled the world and had many unique experiences. After his retirement in 2006, he worked as a contractor in the same field.
Jimmy loved his family. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend. He was a kind, friendly man. He made a lasting impression in the lives of many people.
Jimmy is survived by his wife Vicki Smith (Auburn, WA); his daughter Valaree Britton (Auburn, WA); his son-in-law Timothy Britton (Auburn, WA); his brothers Ken Smith (Black Diamond, WA) and John Smith (Mt. Vernon, MO); his sisters Ann Berkshire (Springfield, MO), Carol Breeden (Springfield, MO), Judy Nease (Sarasota, FL), Joyce Riccardelli (Charlottesville, VA), and Sarah Sando (Lake Tapps, WA); along with several nieces and nephews. Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents and brother Richard Smith.
Jimmy’s family suggests that friends and family consider making a gift donation to an organization in their community that supports those who struggle with mental health or to www.afsp.org.
