Edna Mae Jones, 81, of Auburn, went to be with the Lord on Jan. 18, 2014. She was born on Oct. 17, 1932 in Iowa City to Harold and Frances Hansford before moving to Auburn where she completed high school and married Frank "Skip" Jones. She worked for Boeing, then she and her husband owned and operated the Auburn Health Food Store. As an active member of Northwest Family Church, Edna taught SS classes, sang in the choir, helped raise funds for missions, coordinated senior events, and participated in church activities. She also served as a volunteer at the Auburn Food Band and the Auburn Senior Center. She loved to cook desserts, garden, and give to people in need. She is survived by Skip Jones, her husband of 63 years, and daughters, Susanna Blessings, Cindy Carroll, and Shelly Matson; along with 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Sat. Feb. 1st at 11:00am at Northwest Family Church in Auburn. Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.
