SOUTH PARIS - Walter W. Crites Jr., 90, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Market Square Nursing Home in South Paris. He was born in Lewiston on August 10, 1927, the son of the late Walter W. Sr. and Alyce (Dick) Crites.
Walter traveled all 50 states, but chose to call Maine his home with his family. He proudly served in the United States Navy, was an Eagle Scout, a proud graduate of Tufts University. He enjoyed his weekly coffee group, where they would work on solving all of the world's problems. He was very active in the Auburn community organizations and many dental boards, including a long time examiner on the Northeast Board of Dental Examiners. Many people will remember Walter for having his dental practice on Court St. in Auburn for many years.
