Auburn - Mrs. Sandra V. Gammon, age 54, of Barton Ave, in Auburn, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday September 7th. She was born in Lewiston May 15, 1956 a daughter of Francis and Gabrielle (Dionne) Violette. Sandra was educated in local schools and remained a lifelong resident of this community. On July 31, 1993 she married Michael Gammon and together they settled in Auburn. Sandra's career background was in computers and for several years, taught computer-related classes for the University of Maine system. She loved special family times and get-togethers and greatly enjoyed camping, hiking and travelling. She and Mike recently returned from a trip to Hawaii. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed.
She leaves her husband Michael Gammon of Auburn; her son Jacob Hackett and wife Melissa of Buckfield; her daughter Erica Langelier and husband Romaine of Mechanic Falls;
her mother Gabrielle Violette of Auburn;
seven grandchildren Autumn Hackett, Jacob Hackett II, Tucker Hackett, Jack Hackett, Kaylee Langelier, Thea Langelier and Abby Langelier; five sisters and brothers Susan Palange and husband Andrew of Lewiston, Gail Coolidge and husband Charles of Auburn, David Violette and wife Kristina of Turner, Steven Violette and wife Karen of Shapleigh and Gary Violette and wife Jennifer of Hopkinton, MA and several nieces and nephews and cousins.
Sandra was predeceased by her father Francis Violette, a brother Daniel Violette and infant twin grandchildren Alex and Lexi Hackett.
Funeral Notice: Gammon, Sandra V. 9/7/10. Memorial Visitation The Fortin Group / Auburn Sat. 1-3 PM followed by a Memorial Service at 3 PM in the funeral home. Interment will take place at a later date in the family lot at St. Peter's Cemetery.
