She was born in Lewiston, Maine on May 31, 1951, the daughter of the late Edward and Emily (Barrett) Welch.
Pam was raised in the Lewiston Auburn area and graduated from Edward Little High School in the Class of 1969. Pam loved her family and devoted much of her life to her faith.
Pam was predeceased by the love of her life, Herbert Cooper. Pam and Herb enjoyed life together, traveling, and going on many adventures.
Pam enjoyed being an interpreter for the deaf community, gardening, knitting and sewing, and spending time with her family. Pam was most known for her loving and supportive nature as she helped friends and family in need. Pam was often outspoken in her beliefs, had a great sense of humor, and many times she was referred to as a “real spitfire”. Pam was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
Pam is survived by her loving son Christopher and his wife Emily, their children Nicole and her husband Heng-Hao and Elizabeth. Her daughter Jennifer and her children Alyssa and Cameron. Her grandson Zachary Meert along with Taylor Withey and her daughter Aiyana-Mae. Her sister Starr, and sisters-in-law Velvet and Georgette. Many nieces and nephews and beyond too numerous to name.
Besides her husband, she was also predeceased by her daughter Sherre; four brothers; and two sisters.
Graveside Services honoring Pamela’s life will be celebrated later in the Spring at a day and time to be announced at Center Hill Cemetery in Minot with Pastor David Clark officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 from 4-8 PM at the Fortin Group Funeral Home 217 Turner Street, Auburn Maine, 783-8545.
