Portland- Normand J. Rivard 78, of Lewiston died July 28, at Maine Medical Center in Portland. He had been a resident of Bolster Heights for almost three years. Norm was born Lewiston on December 26, 1937 a son of the late Sylvio and Yvonne (Mathieu) Rivard. He was educated in Lewiston and graduated from Lewiston High School class of 1963. He then went on to proudly serve as a PFC in the First Rifle Platoon in the US Army Reserves.
Normand worked for many years at Bates Mill and after he retired he worked for Shaw’s in Auburn. He was a member Pastemps Club, the ACME Club and the Knuckle Buster’s Club. He loved old cars. In his younger years he was the drummer for The Hi-Hat Band.
He is survived by many cousins throughout Maine and Canada.
