Marjorie J. O'Neil, daughter of Helen and Anthony (Leo) O'Neil of Lewiston ME, aged 81 passed away on March 20th 2015 after a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease. She was born in Lewiston on August the 4th 1933. Marjorie married and left Maine, but always held home close to her heart. She was a "Mainer" through and through. She was a US Army Officer's Wife for many years and traveled the world having lived in Japan for three years, and being stationed throughout the United States. Marjorie would soon find herself a part of American history by becoming one of the first generations of women to enter the white-collar workforce. She would go on to a highly successful career spanning 32 years with the United States Defense Department as a Systems Analyst at Fort Monmouth NJ. She raised her three children single-handedly while working multiple jobs, and putting herself through school. She was our rock. She was a strong indomitable woman who sacrificed everything for her children and never turned her back on us. We will always love you. The hole in our lives will never be filled. She is survived by her children: daughter, Mary Velez and her husband Angelo, son, Peter Dockray and partner Stanley Davin, son, Joseph Dockray, granddaughter, Lauren Lieberman and husband Craig, grandson, Sean Hartnett, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
May you rest in peace mom knowing, job well done!
