LEWISTON: Kevin Ledoux of Turner passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 5, 2014. He was born on February 2, 1962 in Nashua, New Hampshire, the son of Edward J. and the late Rachel A. (Cadorette) Ledoux. Kevin spent most of his life living with his parents in New Hampshire before moving with them to Turner in 1998. He attended school in Amherst and Milford and went on to be part of the Souhegan Valley Association for the Handicapped, where he worked diligently and excelled at providing service to others. He was an active participant in Special Olympics while in New Hampshire taking many medals in track and field and swimming. Both he and his family were proud of his many achievements. Later in life he assisted in the care of his brother, Douglas, and became a part of St. Mary’s D’Youville Pavillion community attending social and special events. Kevin’s special personality and positive attitude won over people wherever he went. He loved life to its fullest, always thinking the best about people. He had a gift for making people smile. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was closely connected to his godparents Uncle Donald and Aunt Claire. Kevin is survived by his father, Edward of Turner, ME, his brother Daniel and his wife Debra of Bennington, NH, his brother Douglas of Lewiston, ME, his brother Keith and his wife Sue of Merrimack, NH, his sister Deborah Ledoux-Randlett and her husband Mark of Turner, ME, and his many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his loving mother and best friend Rachel. Kevin’s sense of humor and caring attitude will be greatly missed by all those who loved him. Visiting Hours will be held on Sunday March 9 from 2-5pm and on Monday March 10 from 10-11am at the funeral home in Auburn. A Celebration of Kevin’s life will take place on Monday March 10 at 11am also at the funeral home in Auburn. Interment will be at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Lewiston. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in the memory of Kevin Ledoux to Central Maine Medical Center, 300 Main Street, Lewiston, Maine, 04240, in care of the Development Office. Donations will be specifically targeted for the M-1 Oncology Unit for the great care they afforded Kevin and his family in his final days.
