Kelli Michelle Johnson

Durham - Kelli M. Johnson, 51 of Durham, Maine, passed unexpectedly at home, surrounded by family, on the morning of August 11th, 2023. She was born September 4th, 1971, to parents David Bruce Jewett and Donna Jewett, in Brunswick, Maine.

Kelli attended local schools, graduating from Brunswick High School in 1989. She then went on to attend the University of Maine, Augusta and graduated in 1996 from UMA. She worked as a RN nurse for Maine Medical Center for many years, as well as other health care facilities. Her passion was advocating for as many as she could with their health care questions and concerns. She loved it. She treated friends and strangers the same way. She would give you the shirt off her back if that's what you needed, no questions asked.

She also met her future husband and love of her life, David Johnson, in 1989. They were married on August 24th, 1991.

She is survived by her husband, David, his parents Richard and Barbara Johnson, her mother Donna Jewett, a sister Erin, niece Anna, great niece Miya, niece Tisha, a nephew Daniel, great nephew Gabriel, along with several Aunts, Uncles, cousins, and sibling in laws. Kelli was predeceased by her father, David Bruce Jewett in 2016.

Kelli loved her pets too, they will surely miss their "Mom". Sully and Alex the pups and Jazzy the cat.

The family invites you to a time of visitation on Thursday, August 17th, 2023 from 4pm - 7pm, at Fortin's Funeral Home. 217 Turner St., Auburn, Maine. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am Friday, August 18th, 2023 at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 132 McKeen St., Brunswick, Maine.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to make a donation to the Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org). This is a charity Kelli has actively supported throughout her life.
