Born in Maine, January 13, 1930 he was the son of Ernest and Rose (Guichard) Gagne. Educated in Auburn schools, he then joined Army at age 18 and proudly served his country during the Korean War.
Jean was a businessman until he started working at Maine Electronics until their closing, he then went to work at Maine Bucket. Jean was a lifelong devout Catholic who attended the Basilica of St. Peter and Paul. He enjoyed his model train and railroad which encompassed most of his basement. Jean was also an avid drag racer in his younger years. Jean was the kind of man who could befriend and was friendly to everyone that had the fortune to meet him.
Jean is survived by his dear friend Judi Bartlett, his step-daughter Dawn Bartlett-Brown and her husband Kevin Brown of Des Moines IA, his pride and joy, granddaughter Danielle Brown of Des Moines IA, as well as his very good friend and neighbor Dave St. Pierre, we are very thankful for his continued support.
A visitation for Jean will be held on Thursday the 9th, from 9AM-11AM at the Fortin Group Funeral Home located at 217 Turner St. Auburn. A funeral home service will begin at 11AM with a committal service to follow at St. Peters Cemetery.
