1974-2021
Lewiston- James F. Neptune, 47 of Minot, passed away on December 11, 2021.
Jim, known as Boop to closest family and friends, was above all a family man. He and his wife Jessica shared the kind of love story movies are made of. Though they had been together since they were teenagers, his face would still light up every time he got a call from her. His daughter Alyssa truly was (as the old folks used to say) the apple of his eye. He loved her with his whole heart. Jim wanted nothing more in life than to be a grandpa. That dream came true five and half years ago when beautiful Aubree was born. Jim was known to say he could never hate another rainy day because Aubree was born on a rainy day. And just a year and a half ago, Jim was blessed with another grandchild, Baby Erik.
Though Jessica, Alyssa, Aubree, and Erik were the center of his world, Jim maintained a very close bond with his siblings. Jim and his brother Kris worked with each other for decades, culminating in them recently opening businesses together. In addition, he enjoyed boating, jet skiing, four-wheeling, and snowmobiling with his siblings and closest friends every chance he got. Jim greatly enjoyed his camp on Cobbossee Lake - as did everyone - because everyone always had an open invitation. Jim's mother-in-law Connie, Grammie Doris, and Jess's whole side of the family could be found there on almost any summer day, rain or shine. The Christmas and Fourth of July parties hosted by Jim and Jessica were extraordinary and will remain a part of his wonderful legacy.
Jim was a pull yourself up by the boot-strap kind of guy who freely and generously shared everything he had. He was in every way inspirational and motivated others to be all they could be and to live life to the fullest, as he most certainly did. He was just phenomenal in all of his many accomplishments. Anyone who knew him knew will tell you they are better because of it. Jim had willpower and passion for life, which far exceeded the average person, and he had a sense of humor that will be missed by all.
Jim is survived by his wife, Jessica Neptune; daughter Alyssa Creamer and her husband, Erik and their two children Aubree and Erik; son James Neptune; brother Robert Haynes; sister Cheryle Lola; sister Lynda Smith and husband, Don; sister Tammy Coburn; brother Kris Coburn and his partner Deidra Dow; sister Donna Jackman and husband, Peter. Jim is survived by an abundance of loving extended family members on both sides and so many friends that it would exceed the page. He is predeceased by his parents James Neptune and Patricia (Brown) Neptune.
