1964 - 2022
Mechanic Falls-James (Jim/Jimbo) Edward Marston of Mechanic Falls, ME, passed away on June 14, 2022 at the age of 57 after battling his third round of cancer. He passed surrounded by his loving family.
Jim was born in Norway, ME on December 19, 1964 to the late James Marston, Sr. and Judith Marston (Wilson). He graduated from Edward Little High School in 1983, and began a 19 year career at Penmor Lithographers. In 2001, Jim joined Uncle Andy’s Digest as a third owner, taking on the pen name of “Jimbo.” He became President of Uncle Andy’s Digest in 2008, and later launched LA Metro Magazine in 2016. Jim became involved with Make-A-Wish Maine in 2015 while celebrating the 20th anniversary of Uncle Andy’s Digest, which was an instant hit. This was the beginning of the annual Summer Block Party legacy. Jim has helped raise more than $450,000, granting 64 wishes and counting for sick children in Maine.
Jim was very active in his community, coaching baseball, soccer, racquet ball, and softball for many years. He continued serving his community by being a member of the LA Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce, Wealth Builders BNI Group, American Legion Post 153 in New Auburn, the Auburn-Lewiston Rotary Breakfast Club, and a Make-A-Wish Maine Board member for the last six years. His passion for his community and helping others earned him several awards.
Those who knew Jim could often find him out n’ about supporting various local businesses and staying active in his many hobbies, such as golf and corn hole. Most of all, Jim loved spending time with family, friends, and his many dogs. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and close friends, and also going to camp with his family every summer. Jim was known for being larger than life and spreading positivity to everyone around him.
Jim is survived by his wife Suzanne Marston (Couillard) of 29 years; his children Jamie Shaw and her husband Adon Shaw and their sons Caden and Carter, Kayla Marston and her husband Andy Jarman and their daughter Connelly, Courtney Marston, and Tanner Marston; and his sisters Trisha Marston and her fiance John Acker and Shannon Wilson.
He is predeceased by his brothers Peter and Paul.

A Celebration of Jim’s Life will be held at The Pathway Vineyard Church at 12 Foss Rd in Lewiston on Monday, June 27 at 11 AM.
