Irene G. Michaud

Auburn - Irene G. Michaud, 88 of Lewiston, died Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice. She was born in Van Buren, March 2, 1923 daughter of the late Wilfred and Elmire Couillard Michaud. She was educated in Van Buren schools and was married January 3, 1945 to Jean A. Michaud who predeceased her March 28, 1999. Irene enjoyed knitting, crocheting, cooking, but especially loved being with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She is survived by a daughter, Betty Sult and husband Chuck of Lewiston; three sons, Jim Michaud and wife Jackie of North Carolina, Dan Michaud and wife Sue of Freeport and Gene Michaud and wife Janis of Lisbon Falls; a daughter-in-law, Maria Michaud of Auburn; 17 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; a sister, Jeannine Driscoll of Lewiston; a brother, Raynold Michaud and wife Frankie of Florida. She was predeceased by a son, Richard Michaud March 20, 2011; a sister, Patricia Wing and two brothers, Larry and Clarence Michaud. Visitation at the funeral home Friday from 2-4, 6-8 PM with a service at 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial St. Peter's Cemetery.
