Auburn- Franklin H. Goss 83, of Valview Dr, died Wednesday May 6, 2015 at his home, with his loving family at his side. He was born on May 11, 1931 in Auburn to Freedom F. and Helen (Haskell) Goss. He graduated from Edward Little High School in 1950 and worked on the family farm, Brookdale Farm Dairy, and delivered from door to door. In 1965 he started Suncrest Development Corp., developing land, building homes and a condominium development, Old Carriage Estates. He was a member of West Auburn Congregational Church. He was a Studebaker Car enthusiast, owning 8 vehicles at one time. He won national honors with several of his cars. He and his wife Mary would travel to the National Meets held across the country with his children joining them on occasion. He served on the City of Auburn Planning Board for 12 years. The City of Auburn Council for 2 years, and the Auburn Water Board for many years. He was active in the Auburn Business Association, LAEGC, ABDC, and Kora Temple Motor Corp. He was also a member of the United Commercial Travelers, Minot Center Grange, and several Studebaker Chapters and the National Studebaker Drivers Club. He and his wife enjoyed wintering for 30 years at their home in Naples, FL. On May 27, 1955 he married his wife of 59 years, Mary Elwell. They had three children, Timothy M. Goss, Sherri-lyn Castonguay & (husband Alec), Jeffrey B. Goss & (wife Rosanna), four grandchildren, Ryan Goss, Nathan Goss, Garrett Goss, and Madison Goss. He is also survived by his sister in-law Betty Goss and niece Carolyn Ritchie. He was predeceased by his sister Edith Richards, brother Harry Goss, and nephew Kenneth Richards.
