Born on March 22, 1938, in Lewiston, Danielle was the daughter of Wilford and Jeannette Baker. She grew up in Lewiston, attended local schools, and had one sibling, Dave Baker.
On September 1, 1956, she married Andrea Tasi Spiro, also known as Andy, the love of her life. They were married for over 66 years until his passing on May 13, 2022. The couple lived in Massachusetts for several years before relocating to Maine due to Andy's job with Raytheon Corporation. Eventually, they settled in Pleasant Valley, New York, where they raised their family. During this period, Danielle worked for Raytheon Corporation and Tau Labs, while Andy was employed by IBM. After retiring in 1984, Danielle and Andy returned to Auburn, Maine, and spent years traveling across the United States.
Danielle had a passion for gardening and crafting, producing beautiful work as part of a craft co-op in Pemaquid. She spent many hours making Afghans for veterans, delivering over 20 blankets annually. Danielle enjoyed spending time with friends and family, and her warm and friendly nature made her a friend for life to those who knew her. She was a loving, devoted, and hardworking wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed by all.
Danielle is survived by her son Andy Spiro Jr. and his wife Starla of Orange Park, FL; her daughter Rhonda Sandoval of Phoenix, AZ; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; her brother Dave Baker and his wife Claudette of Ocala, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
