1921 - 2010
Lewiston - Alice J. Lever 88, of 81 Marble St., died Monday July 19, 2010 at her home after a long illness. She was born in Lewiston on November 27, 1921 a daughter of the late Anatole & Blanche Rancourt Roy. She was educated in Lewiston schools and graduated from Lewiston High, Class of 1940. In October, 1944, she married G.W. Bill Lever and together they raised six children. In the early years, her home was always the neighborhood gathering place for her kids, their friends, and relatives she took care of. She enjoyed cheering her sons high school basketball games, watching the Red Sox and the PGA with their poodle named, Pippen. Alice was a people person, socializing, teasing, and making sure gatherings were always fun. She will be remembered for her dry sense of humor, quick wit and tell it like it is personality. In her later years, Alice preferred staying home, reading, smaller gatherings and the weekly visits with her baby sister, Marcy where they would reminisce over a beer with salt in it. She is survived by her husband G.W. Bill Lever of Lewiston, her daughters, Sandra Mynahan and husband Patrick of Poland, Lynn Lenhert and husband John of Auburn, Jaime Bolduc and husband Tom of Lewiston,her sons, Roy Lever and wife Kathy of Westwood, MA, Jeff Lever and wife Tammy of Chandler , AZ, Scot Lever and wife Jennifer of Gofstown, NH, her grandchildren, Erica, Arianne, Zack, Shannon, Sam, Justin, Meagan, Meredith, Amanda, Joseph, Breanna and Max, 5 great-grandchildren, and her sister Pauline Roy of Sabattus. She was predeceased by a grandson Brendan Mynahan, her sister Marcy Dubay and brothers Roland, Jean, and Normand Roy.
