Virginia Stauffer

Virginia was born the daughter of Ervin and Ethel (Carlson) McDonald on May 13, 1942, in Pontiac, Michigan. She graduated from Avondale High School, class of 1960. Virginia married Donald Stauffer on March 20, 1976, at the First Baptist Church in Auburn Heights, Michigan. Virginia and Don raised their family in Rochester Hills. Virginia had a career as a mail carrier for the Auburn Hills Post Office. She also served as a bus aid for the Avondale school district.

Virginia loved her family. She especially enjoyed hosting her family for all the holiday parties and entertaining the kids during summer vacation at home and at their Bay Port Cottage. Virginia enjoyed gardening as well.

Virginia is survived by her sons Donald (Sonja), Albert (Leslie), and Adam Stauffer; many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings Jim (Bonnie) McDonald, Sharon Dusten, and Albert (Betty) McDonald; and numerous nieces and nephews. Virginia was predeceased by her husband Donald in 2019; her parents; daughter Elizabeth Hunt; son Thomas Stauffer; and siblings Elizabeth Zielinski, Dona Verhey, Marion Guerin, Anna Foster, Forrest McDonald, Charles Carlson, Ervin McDonald, Ruth McCarrick, Ethel Pavlinac, and Catherine Davenport.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday March 5, 2025, from 2pm until the time of the funeral service at 4pm at Pixley Funeral Home, located at 3530 W. Auburn Rd in downtown Auburn Hills, Michigan.
