Marilyn Clare Garwood

Born on December 19th, 1943 to Elmer and Marie Johnson. Marilyn was the second youngest of four children. As a child, Marilyn attended Our Lady of the Lakes School. While still in school she met the love of her life, Kenneth Garwood Sr., who she would later marry on June 15th 1963. They had four beautiful children Susan (William) Jennings, Kenneth Garwood Jr., Lisa (Rod) Deering, and Angela (Russ Brandel) LaFleche. She was the proud grandma of Foster, Garrett, Kylie (Denny), Alli (David), Austin, Nicole (Corey), Lauren (Nic), Vanessa (Richard), Leah, and Andrew. She was also blessed with five great grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Kaydenz, Eloise, Duke, Alarik, and Atlas.

Throughout her life she enjoyed collecting various knickknacks like frog statues, stuffed animals, etc., dying her hair vibrant colors, and traveling around Michigan with her husband. She especially enjoyed spending time at Cheeseburger festival up at their boat in Caseville, MI. She loved reading Stephen King novels, shopping at garage sales and thrift stores, and keeping secret stashes of candy for the grandkids to enjoy.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth Garwood Sr., her angel daughter Lisa (Rod) Deering, grandson Garrett Garwood, sister Jan Junglas, and parents, Elmer and Marie Johnson.
