Marilyn Ruth Fisher, 69, of Bloomfield Hills, died suddenly in an accident on October 30, 2017. Wife of Gary; mother of Jeff (Vicki) and Scott Fisher; grandmother of Lindsey, Jacob, Betsey, Peyton, Melanie, Mitchell, and Reece; and sister of Bob, Kathy, and Jim Schneider. Preceded in death by parents Arthur and Margaret (Crockett) Schneider and granddaughter Courtney.
Born in Detroit Michigan on August 5, 1948, Marilyn graduated from Fraser High School and married Gary Fisher on October 18th, 1969. Marilyn graduated from Western Michigan University in 1970 . After raising her boys, she received a paraprofessional degree from Oakland University in accounting and went back to work.
In her spare time Marilyn liked to research genealogy and was found on the golf course weekly, weather permitting. She was an active member of the Pontchartrain Alumnae chapter of the Sigma Alpha Iota (SAI) Musical Sorority. She was a proud Western Michigan Bronco and always supported them thru the alumni association, attending games and cheering them on TV.
Above all else, she was the grandma of 8 and spent a majority of her time with her grandkids, babysitting and playing board games. As her grandchildren got older, Marilyn spent a lot of time traveling to see her grandkids play baseball, football, volleyball and water polo. Visitation will be Sat. Nov. 4th, 2017 from 3 p.m. until service at 7 p.m. at Pixley Funeral Home located at 3530 Auburn Rd in
