Kathleen A Shea

Kathleen was born the daughter of John and Virginia (Casey) Pappas in Bristol, Connecticut on September 28, 1947. She grew up in Waterbury, starting her career as a nurse at St. Mary’s Hospital. In 1978 Kathleen received a certification in stenography and worked as a stenographer for the State of Connecticut Workers’ Compensation Office until her retirement in 2009.

Kathleen enjoyed gardening, hiking, kayaking, line dancing, traveling, especially to Europe and the National Parks, and wisecracking. She had a great laugh and bright blue eyes.

Kathleen is survived by her son Scott Shea (Kim); and her son Jeff Shea (Jennifer); her brother Robert Pappas and her brother Rick Pappas (Cathy); her granddaughter Nichole Wirbel, her grandson Kyle Shea (Kim), her great grandchildren Rory Wirbel, Kinsley Wirbel, Elliot Shea, Spencer Shea and Gianna Johnson.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her brothers John Pappas, Dave Pappas, Joe Pappas and her brother Allan Pappas.

A chapel service for Kathleen will be held Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Guardian Angel Cemetery, 4701 N Rochester Rd., Oakland Charter Township, Michigan 48306.
