He was born in Luebbow, Germany on April 21, 1951 to Heini and Giesela Meier. Karl-Heinz earned a Master’s degree in engineering in Brehmen, Germany. He moved to the United States with his family in 1980.
He was married to Annegret Meier on February 3, 1970.
He had a passion for gardening, making jewelry and sculptures out of Petoskey stones, walking along the beach, and his grandchildren.
Beloved father of Olaf (Jasmin) Meier, and Olivia (Corey) Nash, grandfather of Andrew, Alex, Emily and Gabriella. Brother of Hans-Juergen (Rita), Wolfgang and Gabriela. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be Friday, November 6, 2015 at 5 p.m. at Pixley Funeral home, 3530 Auburn Road, Auburn Hills. Friends may visit before the service from 3-5 p.m.
