Jeanette Jean Reid

Jeanette was born the daughter of Walter and Florence ( Johnson ) Harvey on August 22, 1934, in Detroit, Michigan. She married Roger Kuras and they raised their family in Clawson first, then Paradise, Michigan. Jeanette divorced and later married James Reid. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Pontiac and Waterford. Jeanette was active in the VFW.

Jeanette had a passion for friends and family. She enjoyed being the Avon Lady for many.

Jeanette is survived by her children Robert Kuras, Michelle (Samir) Kashou; step-children Laureen (Robert) Adam, Kathleen (Chet) Bartnick, Delleen Reid, and Colleen (Jeremy) Lester; grand-children: Jeremy (Amanda) Kuras, Grace (Josh) Hill, Rachel (Andrew) Robertson, Elizabeth (Bruce) Hoover, Benjamin (Nicole) Kashou, Brendan Kuras Aaron (Sarah Wicka) Kuras; Step-grand children: Brian (Melissa) Shafer, Laura (Casey) Weedon, Sean Reid, Heather (Brian) Ross, Shawna Bartnik, Daniel Bartnik, Christine Tremblay, Jessica Tremblay, Leah (Micheal) Jackson; great- grandchildren: Thomas Kashou, Sawyer Kashou, Oliver Kashou, Violet Robertson, Sterling Robertson, and Scarlett Robertson, Annabelle Hoover and Ellie Hoover, Brady Kashou, Hannah Shafer, Cassius Weedon and numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her oldest son Roger Kuras; husband James Reid (2009) and his oldest son Kerry Reid; her Parents; and siblings Gladys Cook and Charles Harvey.

Jeanette’s family will welcome friends and family to a visitation on Wednesday March 1, 2023 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. at Pixley Funeral Home, located at 3530 Auburn Road in downtown Auburn Hills, Michigan. Interment will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Great Lakes National Cemetery, located at 4200 Belford Road in Holly, Michigan.
