James "Stink" Arthur Stilwell, age 72, of Rochester Hills, Michigan passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 2, 2022. James was born January 19, 1950 to his parents, Helen Marie Vorhes and James Morton Stilwell. He was raised in Auburn Heights.
James worked for General Motors for 15 years. He served in the United States Army. James fought during Vietnam and received a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star for his heroic service. He was a member of the American Legion, Pontiac Eagles, and the Rochester Moose Lodge.
James is the loving father to Nichole (Scott) Watson and Jennifer (Vern Edward) MacDonald; and he is the proud Papa to Autumn MacDonald and Ethan Elliott. He is also survived by his sisters, Vicki Wolters and Linda (Steve) Kleinert; his brothers, Ron Stilwell and Mike Stilwell; and a large extended family and many friends. James was preceded in death by his father, James Morton Stilwell; his mother, Helen Marie (Vorhes) Stilwell; and his brother Allan Stilwell.
