Jake Durall Dow, born July 21, 1932, in Davison Township, Michigan, peacefully passed away on July 16, 2024. He was the beloved son of Burdette and Onalee Dow. Jake graduated from Alma High School in 1950 and went on to pursue his passion for civil engineering at Michigan Technological University, where he earned his Master's degree.
On October 11, 1958, Jake married the love of his life, Morna White. He dedicated many years to his career as an engineer for the State of Michigan, leaving a lasting impact through his work.
Jake is survived by his children, David Dow and Kathleen (John) Konen, and his grandchildren, Nickolas and Zachary Konen. He is also survived by his sister, Betty Tacia. Jake cherished his grandchildren deeply and found great joy in spending time with them.
Known for his dedication to family, Jake made it a priority to gather with loved ones every Saturday. He had a passion for golf, Sudoku, and crossword puzzles, hobbies he enjoyed sharing with friends and family alike.
Jake Durall Dow will be remembered fondly for his love, generosity, and the joy he brought to all who knew him.
