Beloved wife of the late Robert Frank Clark; beloved mother of the late Lois Clark (Malcolm) Flinn, Robert Frank (Phyllis), Gary George (Susan), and Gerald James (Holly Heiss); loving grandmother of Alison (Joe) Ricker, Amy (Hank) Hilliard, Sarah Flinn, Jessica (Cuttino) Alexander, Barclay Flinn, Evan (Rachel) Heiss, Jeremy Clemens, and Nash Clark; loving great-grandmother to Ellie, Abby, Tanner, Kendall, Connor, Will, Nathan, Sarah, and Daniel; and sister to Carolyn Sue (Ray) Carlile.
Dorothy is predeceased by her parents George Clarence and Sarah (Fox) Scadden; siblings Ellen Ordena Preloh, Zula Mae Robinson, Zelda Elaine Mercer, Alva Warren Scadden, Guy Carlton Scadden.
Dorothy was born on October 11th, 1923 in Pike, West Virginia. She graduated from Pennsboro High School in West Virginia and moved to Washington D.C. to work for the War Department. She married Robert Frank Clark on March 29, 1943 in Flushing, New York and raised her family in New Hyde Park, New York. She worked as an administrative assistant in Great Neck, NY and retired to Granville, Ohio in 1978.
Dorothy volunteered for the Rochester Hills Public Library at Waltonwood. She loved family, food, flowers, and nature. Dorothy was a former member of the Granville Garden Club, Granville Needlers, and Mansfield Garden Club. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Granville, Ohio.
A private Celebration of Life will be held by Dorothy’s family at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the charity of your choice.
