Claudia was born March 10, 1944 in Rochester, MI and graduated from Rochester High School. She married her best friend, Gerald "Joe" Myers on April 20, 1963 and they have enjoyed a loving, adventurous life together. Mother to Amy Knisely and Peter Myers. Grandmother to Erin Pons, Alex Knisely and Blake Myers and great-grandmother to Emerson and Senna Pons. Claudia leaves her sister, Margaret Pirrotta and her brother, Charles Neumann and is survived by many nieces and nephews who will remember the joy she brought to every day of her life.
Joe and Claudia spent 15 years in East Boothbay Harbor on Linekin Bay in Maine, and Claudia opened her heart and home in her amazing tearoom, Tea by the Sea. She also ran two craft shops to share her passion for knitting, needlepoint, and crocheting. She created amazing gifts for her family and friends and showed her generosity in gifts for newborns in area hospitals. Claudia made hundreds of homemade Christmas cards each year to share her love for the holiday with her family and friends.
Claudia had a passion for reading and a deep appreciation for nature, art, and music. Her favorite place to visit was Mystic, Connecticut but her home in Lake Angelus, Michigan was always in her heart. Claudia’s love of laughter and infectious humor brought joy to us all. She was the matriarch of her family and many more. Her definition of “family” is wide and extensive, and her love has meant everything to so many. We will all remember her laugh and the joy she brought to every day of her life.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.pixleyfhauburnhills.com for the Myers family.
