Charles “Chuck” H. Funk, age 85, of Bloomfield Hills, MI, passed away on January 23, 2021. He was born in Detroit, MI on July 9, 1935 to Louis H. and Mabel Funk. Chuck graduated from Anchor Bay High School and went on to receive his Journeyman Electrician License from the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Trade School. He later became a master electrician/contractor owning his own company Reddy Service. He was married to Beverly L. Funk on April 22, 1961. Chuck was a U.S. Army veteran, a member of IBEW Local 58, Aircraft Owners Pilots Association, Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, and he was a former president of the SE Michigan Stephen Ministry. He had a passion for flying, spending time with family and friends, boating, snowmobiling, camping and skiing. He was a devoted disciple of God teaching and leading many bible studies at Beautiful Savior, Danish Village and Bethany Lutheran in Northport. He was a never ending faithful servant of God. If anyone ever needed a helping hand or listening ear, he was there for them. He found a spot to land in Northport- his serendipity. Most of all he brought joy to every life he touched. Chuck is survived by his wife, Beverly Funk; his children, Linda (Jeff) Briggs, Mark (Mary) Funk, and Nancy (Joe) Vedolich; his grandchildren, Matthew, Andrew, Alex, Jack, Holly, Hannah; and his brother, David Funk. And his golden four-legged friend Daniel. He was preceded in passing by his parents, Louis and Mabel Funk; and his sister, Phyllis Litaker. A tentative celebration of life will be announced at a later date this summer.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church to support the bible studies ministry or the Stephen Ministry programs. See the link below:
